Napalm Death’s career spans longer than I have been alive and I am turning 30 next month. Slaying people since 1981 with blended punk/thrash and death metal and ultimately creating the genre known as grindcore. Napalm Death has used heavily distorted guitars, blasting drums, fast tempos, powerful vocals and overdriven bass tone for the majority of their career and “Apex Predator – Easy Meat” is no exception. Why would they change? I mean this band is a dominate choice for people who want quick, impacting songs that ultimately leave the listener in shock. The UK band comes back with this new album, their SIXTEENTH studio album, and nothing has changed. Their aggression has not diminished, the songs have not lost their fire and the band is still pumping out songs of pure chemical warfare. This is Napalm Death. This is grindcore.
Cesspits is the tits, Napalm Death somehow defy everything when it comes to older bands releasing new content by sustaining high amounts of energy, alarmingly fast drumming and riffs, fiery vocals and a tempo that makes me want to smash everything in my room….all within 3 minutes and 33 seconds. God damn 2015 is off to a phenomenal start.
Following South American touring as well as appearances at Phil Anselmo’s Housecore Horrorfest in Austin as well as Slipknot’s Knotfest in San Bernadino this past weekend, British Grindcore legends NAPALM DEATH are ready to reveal the first details for their much anticipated new, 15th studio album release. The album will be entitled “Apex Predator – Easy Meat” and will be released via Century Media Records on January 26th, 2015 in Europe and January 27th, 2015 in North America.
Saor is an atmospheric Celtic black metal band from the mother land, Scotland. Of course it’s going to be as authentic and beautiful as you had hoped. However, some (actually, a lot of people) have never even heard of this band before and their latest release “Aura” just may end up being one of your favorite albums of 2014. How come? Well it’s atmospheric black metal, which is usually stunning by itself. However, this Celtic ideology blended in within the music makes this stand out from the rest. Exceptionally written music, quality production and moments within the massive musical journey that will remind you of your favorite bands. Saor’s latest album is simply this: wonderful.
Oh holy shit fuck yes! Watain and Behemoth was good last year and this year it’s pure carnage! Decibel will be bringing some heavy hitters on this years tour. Cannibal Corpse, Napalm Death, Immolation, Cretin, Beyond Creation and Magrudergrind are going to be tearing up a venue near you!!!
First up is a new music/tour video for Napalm Death’s “Everyday Pox”. Next is Becoming The Archetype’s Noire/Sin city styled video for their new song “The Time Bender”. BtA is probably my favorite metalcore band these days because all of their work is very creative and interesting. They always appeal to both ears and eyes when it comes to their work. Dethklok releases a video for “The Galaxy” and Nathan Explosion gets captured by an enemy ship, can the other guys save him? Find out here!
Only some of the most furious grind this time around. I haven’t slept all night and this play list is for the fucks who did the same! GRIND!!!!!!
The leaders of extreme, NAPALM DEATH, will be co-headlining a North American tour with MUNICIPAL WASTE starting this October! This 5-week trek also features EXHUMED as support, plus VEKTOR, DAYGLO ABORTIONS, ATTITUDE ADJUSTMENT, and SPEEDWOLF on select dates. All upcoming tour dates are below.
We begin this music video block with Emmure’s “MDMA”, which actually is the best Emmure song I’ve heard. I think if the vocals were sang instead of screamed it would have sounded a little better but it still wasn’t all too bad.
Next up is grind legends Napalm Death with their song “The Wolf I Feed” which has a very old school Fear Factory sound to it. The video is rad. I dig it.
