For those who love their black metal filled with death and death metal filled with blackness, then you know the name of this band for sure. Their incredibly fast riffing, drum work and treacherous vocals bring forth terror to those who are looking for it. Belphegor’s last album was highly regarded in my book. The songs were evil, catchy and it had the perfect blend of black metal and death metal to make things ultra sinister. I am a massive fan of Behemoth and Belphegor is just like them in many ways…only sped up.
With a combination of old school death metal and Polish blackened death, Lago has ultimately given us one of the best death metal records of 2014. Tyranny has been blasting my car speakers and headphones for a week straight and that is because it’s something I just needed to listen to over and over and over again to grasp it’s entire meaning and appreciate all of the little things that Lago put into Tyranny. This was an anticipation album for me and I was not let down at all.
Immolation is one of those really good death metal bands that get overlooked often and they are massively underrated in my book. Streaming their new song “Kingdom of Conspiracy”, they prove that 20+ years of hard work and determination can end up granting you great results. The songs is heavy, tightly played and the production sounds the best they’ve ever had. Hail IMMOLATION!!!!

Oh holy shit fuck yes! Watain and Behemoth was good last year and this year it’s pure carnage! Decibel will be bringing some heavy hitters on this years tour. Cannibal Corpse, Napalm Death, Immolation, Cretin, Beyond Creation and Magrudergrind are going to be tearing up a venue near you!!!
New York death metal legends, IMMOLATION, recently entered Sound Studios in Millbrook, NY with longtime producer Paul Orofino to record their ninth full-length album. The follow up to their 2010 release Majesty and Decay, will once again be mixed and mastered by Zack Ohren (ALL SHALL PERISH, DECREPIT BIRTH, SUFFOCATION).
“Just got out of the studio a couple of days ago, here in Europe now getting ready to do some open air festivals,” commented guitarist and dead ringer for Anton Lavey, Robert Vigna. “The new album will have 10 tracks of some of the most intensely dark material we have ever written! Very powerful and very heavy. Steve (Shalaty – drums) really pushed it all to the limits on this one too.
Once again we went up to Millbrook, NY to do the main tracking. Paul Orofino got us some of the best sounds we’ve had yet! We were there for two weeks laying down tracks, having amazing Belgian beers at Paul’s in house bar ‘BarFunGul’, as well as plenty of BBQing! Throughout the time we were there we got through one blackout and dodged a very intense storm system that had the potential to cut our recording session real short. Luckily everything worked out. We still have to add some last touches on to the songs etc., as well as have Zack Ohren mix and master it all but so far everything is off to a great start.
Be certain that this new album will surely be one of our strongest yet. We look forward to getting it all finished up soon and getting it out there as soon as possible for the fans!”

Immolation put out an EP entitled Providence and it’s a heavy one. Five songs of classic death metal. The sound/tone/production and everything sounds great. No gimmicks or cheesiness here. Enjoy.
I really do not have much to say about the album. It’s good. Just fucking listen to it. It’s FREE too on the Scion A/V website.
Pros: good tunes
Cons: none really…
