Here is some death metal for you. Rex Shachath plays some very traditional Deicide/Suffocation-esque tunes. I enjoyed it, not too shabby.

Next up is the brand new album from A Hero A Fake called “The Future Again”. Progressive metalcore and if you like what you hear, I’ll be running a contest next week so you can win a copy of this album. Watch for the post on the 9th!

Here is the new track from In This Moment…and quite frankly I’m not shocked at how unamused I am at this. I don’t care for the direction they went with their sound. It sounds too…..early 2000′s nu-metal. Like a blend of Coal Chamber and Five Finger Death Punch. Which isn’t a good thing.

Lastly, this new music block ends with a song from Hell Yeah titled “Drink Drank Drunk“. It’s another rock n roll track that will plague the radio stations soon enough and all of the hillbilly douche bags here in town will worship it. With that said, it’s not all that bad. I miss Mudvayne though, those lyrics actually meant something.
