I was just informed of two pretty good bands from my brother-in-law and how I’ve never heard of these guys before just now is beyond me. the first band that was brought up was the nice n heavy band known as Here Comes The Kraken. Their down tuned guitar sound and ability to shred makes for a good headbanging time. The screams and vocals shouted are impressive as well. Here Comes the Kraken just won me over, they know how to bring forth the headbang. Which is the whole point of heavy music right? It’s sure is the main point of this blog as well, so press play and enjoy. The first song is more linear in terms of riffing but still heavy. The second song is very fast and technical.

The second band recommended to me cracked me up when I first heard of the name. Germany’s “We Butter The Bread With Butter“…….let that sink in. Hilarious right? You HAVE to listen to them atleast once with a band name like that. It’s a very chug based riff structure with a weird keyboard sound over it that reminds me of an old school NEW game. The vocals aren’t too bad, it’s a very throaty black metal-ish screech and sometimes he throws in some pig squeals. The electronic elements are done pretty well, they aren’t overly done like some of the American bands that use them. The pace of the songs are pretty fast and heavy. Their tremolo picked sections are catchy and brutal. I dig them. So not only do they have an awesome name, their pretty damn good!
