NEW MUSIC: White Wizzard, Social Distortion, Castle & Royal Republic

New music today from White Wizzard, Social Distortion, Castle and Royal Republic! We start off this block with White Wizzard’s “Torpedo of Truth”, which is a rockin almost power metal type of song. With a faster tempo, quick guitar leads, a sweet rock voice from “Gomer Pyle”…White Wizzard rocks you long and hard. These guys can shred and showcase their talents very well on this demo track. It’s very obvious that these guys have great character and enjoy doing what they do. I enjoyed myself while listening to this song. I hope you do too.

Next is Social Distortion with their music video for “Gimme The Sweet And Lowdown”, which is nothing I would ever listen to but I liked this song. The video was actually really good as well. It went along perfectly with the music and was visually appealing and entertaining. I really thought the animation was well done. It flowed naturally like a real live shot film. Great job Social Distortion!

Next up is modern classic rock band Castle with their song “Corpse Candles”. It’s a very dark and gritty song and video with trippy effects and slightly ominous imagery. It’s some decent doom/sludge tunes and the guitar is unorthodox in a way. Vocals are done well, not too breathy or annoying, they are sung in a tone that fits the bands music perfectly. The song is definitely catchy, I’m sure I’ll be hearing more from this band soon.

Lastly, we have Royal Republic from Sweden…and Road Runner Germany shared this one so I thought it was going to be somewhat good. The song “Addictive” is more annoying and bad than addicting. Repeating “I’m a dick, dick, dick, dick, addicted to you.” is fucking awful song writing. Random imagery of pills, fat people, skinny women eating and the band makes for an eyesore. None of this makes sense and Royal Republic makes my stomach turn.
