I know I know, MUSE is far from metal. With their poppy chorus’ and high pitched vocal singing…..how can anyone who likes Cattle Decapitation enjoy Muse? Well, I’ll tell you. They are the best in the business outside of metal. Sharp guitar solos, incredible riffing and song writing, talented singing and just incredibly catchy, Muse has had my attention since 2005. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed their work and even made their song “Endlessly” my first dance song with my new wife. I dig the hell out of them and while I listen to them hardly ever anymore, I’ll never turn off their music or deny the fact that they are amazing musicians.

Muse has set a release date for their new album “The 2nd Law” for October 1st, 2012. The single “Madness” will be released on August 20th so if you are desperately waiting for new Muse, there is your chance. The new album art is relatively simple, colourful and yet still magical. I don’t even know what the hell it is. Is it a flower of somesort? Some under water organism? A busted mop head? What do you think of it?
