Black Label Society frontman and former Ozzy Osbourne guitarist Zakk Wylde has announced the arrival of his new-born son named Sabbath.
Wylde’s wife, Barbaraanne revealed the good news and confirmed that Sabbath, named after the legendary heavy metal band Black Sabbath, was born healthy in a post to Twitter. “Sabbath Page Wielandt Wylde born July 4th 11:40pm 8lbs 1.3oz 21 in.”
Sabbath is Zakk and Barbaraanne Wylde’s fourth child and brother to Hayley Rae, Hendrix and Jesse, who is also the godson of Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne.
On Tuesday July 3rd, it was revealed that Children Of Bodom guitarist/vocalist Alexi Laiho had been rushed to a hospital in Oslo, Norway with, “extreme stomach pain.” A statement from the band can be read below.
Due to Laiho’s condition, Children Of Bodom have canceled their scheduled shows in Norway and July 4th’s show in Sweden. The band’s upcoming dates in their homeland of Finland, as of now, are still scheduled to take place.
Children Of Bodom statement: “It is with great regret that we are forced to cancel tonight’s show in Oslo as well as tomorrow night’s show in Malmö.
“Alexi was rushed to the Oslo hospital earlier this evening with extreme stomach pain. The doctors in the emergency unit checked him and while we are still waiting for a diagnosis, they made clear that he will not be able to perform within the next 48 hours.
“We apologize to all our fans who have bought tickets to these shows – we will try to reschedule both Oslo and Malmö at the earliest possibility. Keep your fingers crossed with us that Alexi will get well again soon!”
