Paul Wardingham, guitarist extraordinaire, asked one tough question. What is your favorite music video OF ALL TIME?? Well, he asked it or his record label did. Regardless, this is one deep question. There have been many many music videos that have blown me away, even a couple from this year alone! So when Nickelback fan Mr. Boussac immediately posts their video for Savin’ Me, I almost fell out of my seat laughing. Troll or not, that is hilarious stuff! I have never seen the video and I refuse to watch it. I’ll never know what it’s like to experience the greatest music video of all time.

I’ll share a couple with you. The ones that have constantly brought me back to watch them again and again!
Amon Amarth – Runes To My Memory. This one makes me want to headbang like crazy each time it comes on. Seeing the entire band do it is just about as metal as it can get. The song is amazing, the video is entertaining and ultimately a joy to the senses. I have to agree with the current top comment for the video: “Synchronized windmilling should be an Olympic sport.”
Behemoth – Conquer All. This is the song to dominate to. This is one of those songs/videos that inspired me to pick up a guitar and perform metal with fierce riffing and intense writing. This video is evil, sexy and incredibly powerful. This song is awesome, fun to play and even more fun to sing along to. Another ultimate headbang anthem that forces you to CONQUER ALL!!!! Behemoth has continually released amazing videos for Lucifer, At the Left Hand Ov God and so on. However, this video remains to be beaten in terms of just sheer brutality. This captures the pure intentions and essence of the band.
Nile – Execration Text. While I absolutely love the song AND video for “Sacrifice Unto Sebek”, this video just captures the sheer amazing talent of the band and how raw, skilled and awesome they are at their instruments. Those angles! Those solo’s! Oh man, every single second of this music video is just bliss. Nile is one of my favorites ever and this video just proves why.
Cannibal Corpse – Make Them Suffer. This song is crushing. The video adds to it. It’s a murderous anthem filled with hate, torture, prejudice and gore. This makes you want to kill motherfuckers that get in your way. If I’m jamming this in my car don’t you dare fuck with me on the road.
Last but not least, the one, two combo of Korn’s “Freak On A Leash” and “Falling Away From Me”. The second starts off right where the first one leaves off, so I’ve always treated it as one big video. I love both songs and dig the shit out of both videos. It just brings me back to 1999, back when I was a little teenage punk. Back when Korn was the most amazing thing in the world to me. Just watch and enjoy. “Falling Away From Me” has massive personal reasons as to why I love it.
