Black Sabbath‘s North American touring plans have expanded significantly. The group have announced a wealth of new dates that will see them tour throughout the summer with details available below. The band will be out in support of their new album “13“, which hits stores June 11th.

The tour begins May 10th in Atlanta, GA and lasts until mid June when they finish off their onslaught on the nation at Washington D.C. What a random, delightful announcement this is! The Scion Rock Fest has announced its full lineup. Scheduled for June 1, 2013, in Memphis, Tennessee, previously announced groups including Melvins, Municipal Waste and Pallbearer are joined by 17 additional acts including co-headliner Testament, plus Corrosion of Conformity, Whitechapel, Negative Approach and many more.
As always, Scion Rock Fest is a free event, but you must RSVP to attend. The RSVP will open on April 10, 2013, at the Scion AV website.

Negative Approach
TÝR, hailing all the way from the Faroe Islands, will once again return to North America. This time, they will be performing as part of Paganfest 2013 with Ensiferum, Heidevolk, Trollfest, andHelsott. The tour will begin on Saturday, March 30th in Denver, CO, and wraps up on April 21st in New York, NY at the Gramercy Theater. Fresh off the road with MESHUGGAH and ANIMALS AS LEADERS, post-metal proggers INTRONAUT are pleased to announce they will head out on a North American headlining tour this June in support of their new album, ‘HABITUAL LEVITATIONS,’ that was released this past Tuesday. Presented by Metal Sucks, the run will feature direct support from SCALE THE SUMMIT and feature MOUTH OF THE ARCHITECT and CASTLE on select dates. Dan Briggs, Walter Fancourt, and Matt Lynch: the over-the-top trio appropriately known as Trioscapes, will once again be taking their instrumental show on the road. This April, fans can catch Trioscapes in Tenesse, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, and Puerto Rico. The first two dates (April 6th-8th) will be with fellow virtuoso Evan Brewer (The Faceless). Additionally, on April 12th in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Trioscapes will be holding a “master class” for fans.

Antarctic metal monsters GWAR are kicking off their spring run of dates with a special “Meat and Meet” at the world-famous Grinders in Kansas City, MO. The “Meat and Meet” is scheduled for Monday April 8th from 6-8 PM.
This event is not only for GWAR to drink and eat themselves into a bloated coma with their legions of slavering fans, but to announce and introduce their brand-new and 100% edible “GWAR-B-Q” sauce, personally created for human consumption by none other than GWAR‘s steel-faced guitar player, Balsac, the Jaws of Death.

Fear Factory have announced more dates for their spring North American tour with Hate Eternal. This co-headliner is kinda weird yet it works somehow. Hate Eternal being straight up pure american death metal and Fear Factory being the beloved metal/industrial infused badassness we’ve loved for 20 years.

Vattnet Viskar is one of those black metal bands that I’m proud to say I was a fan of them right when they were signed to Broken Limbs Recordings. They put out a solid EP and I was forever a fan of theirs. Signing onto Century and now touring, these guys deserve great turnouts and their merch to be sold out night after night.
