Bison B.C. have released two songs today “Anxiety Puke” and “Lovelessness” and they are some good songs! Great tone, production, inclusion of bass guitar and drumming is rad. I’ve never heard of these guys before but I must here more! For whatever reason, their brand of sludge rock is just sitting well with me right now.
Next up is a track from THRESHOLD with a Meshuggah cover….oh wait….no? It’s not a cover it’s an original song called “Don’t Look Down”, hmmmmmmmmmmm. Listening to this song I’m unamused, uninterested. The late 80′s style with clean vocals n synth just are making my head hurt in all honesty. I’ll most likely be skipping this album. No thank you.
Palisades is a band I’ve never heard of before but this nice little acoustic jam called “Bury It” actually isn’t to bad. At all. It has a poppy feel to it crossed with R&B. It’s weird but I kinda like it. Oh man now I’ve lost metal cred huh? Shoot. =/
I’ll end today’s update strong with a lyric video from Gojira. The song “Explosia” features everything you love about Gojira. Heavy riffing, pick scraps, screams that shake the Earth and sick ass drumming. Explosia is a damn good song and if you’re like me, you’re late to the game and this is another reason why I need to get that new Gojira and enjoy it already.
