Death metal hailing from San Pablo, Philippines: Pathogen carve a path to hell with their murky, thick guitar tones. Pathogen are incredibly sludgey with their sound and it’s just plain and simple death metal paying homage to the sound of the early 90′s. Fast drum work with no triggers, relentless riffing, howling guitar solos and ball crushing vocals. Their album “Miscreants of Bloodlusting Aberrations“, features 8 tracks (one which is a cover) and their sound or focus never changes. This is pure death metal.

This album smells of death, booze and all things metal. Pathogen truly brings out the reminiscent times of old school metal. Slayer, Venom, Deicide….all of these bands must influence Pathogen somewhat, the furious writing and execution on Miscreants of Bloodlusting Aberrations truly makes me feel like it’s the “Golden Era” all over again. They hit the nail right on the head and Pathogen releases a damn fine record. It sounds good, the metal is there and I’m moshing alone in my office as we speak.
